Asked by swei

Hi,

I dual boot win7 and Ubuntu 16.04 LTS on my desktop, but the Ubuntu installation stuck at Retrieving file 58 of 58. The last messages in detail are:

[time] ubuntu in-target : Get: 58 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-backports/multiverse amd64 DEP-11 Metadata [160B]
[time] ubuntu system[1]: Starting Cleanup of Temporary Directories ...
[time] ubuntu systemd-tmpfiles[21641]: [/usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/var.conf:14] Duplicate line for path "var/log", ignoring.
[time] ubuntu system[1]:Starting Cleanup of Temporary Directories ...
[time] ubuntu CRON[21646]: (root) CMD ( cd / && run-parts --report /etc/cron.hourly)

I try several times, it still stuck here, the system didn't dumped, just the installation do not continue. I do not know why this happens, thank you for your help!

I find a solution. Today, I reinstall win10 in UEFI+GPT mode and then install Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, it success, while in the previous BIOS+MBR mode the Ubuntu installation will stuck at "starting cleanup of temporary directories". As somebody said, it may related with SSD, mine is samsung SSD.

Can you help with this problem?
