ubuntu-core images no longer hosted

Asked by dylan

ubuntu-core-16.04-core-amd64.tar.gz used to be hosted at
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-core/releases/16.04/release/ubuntu-core-16.04-core-amd64.tar.gz

unfortunately, http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-core/releases/ no longer exists

have these images moved? this is not the same as "preinstalled" core from what I can tell, these images were just very minimal ubuntu images not "snappy"

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Core describes the images I am looking for

thank you for your response, but that is a mirror of the cdimage, but does not include what I am looking for (it just includes what is on cdimage.ubuntu.com, as would be expected for a mirror)

the URL I need used to be at:
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-core/releases/

it is NOT the preinstalled snappy image, the image I need uses apt-get

What you write is somewhat contradictory.

You refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Core
The file references from there are no more those you were looking for, but now are http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-base/releases/14.04/release/ or http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-base/releases/16.04/release/ with files named ubuntu-base-<version>-core-<arch>.tar.gz

Have you read https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Core/InstallationExample ?

THANK YOU!

I just needed what is now called "ubuntu-base" instead of "ubuntu-core", and I had lost it.

Thanks!
