Missiang Packages

Asked by davidzaq1

Hello,

I was trying to install the Videolan Movie Creator I received the following Error Message.

W: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/rohityadav/vlmc/ubuntu/dists/trusty/main/binary-amd64/Packages 404 Not Found

W: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/rohityadav/vlmc/ubuntu/dists/trusty/main/binary-i386/Packages 404 Not Found

E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

sudo apt-get install vlmc
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree

Is there a way to fix this or is this no longer available for Ubuntu 12.04?

Thank you

The PPA only supports up to Precise (12.04).
http://ppa.launchpad.net/rohityadav/vlmc/ubuntu/dists/

It doesn't support your release and should be removed. Not all PPAs support all relases.

What you write is somewhat contradictory.

If you have Ubuntu 12.04 (precise), why are your sources.list configuration files set to values that you try downloading for trusty (14.04) as shown in your error message.

Please provide the output of the commands

uname -a
lsb_release -crid

There is a PPA with a version of vlmc for trusty https://launchpad.net/~webupd8team/+archive/ubuntu/vlmc
