What is the output of;

wget -O alsa-info.sh http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh && chmod +x ./alsa-info.sh && ./alsa-info.sh

Thanks.

IMHO for great sound, set ubuntu volume to 80% then use the speakers to set the volume louder.

I have not speakers, i have my headphones directly connected to the onboard sound, (the speakers i tried were making white sound, i guess because they were cheap, and it doesnt worth use speakers if i have a wire long enough for the headphones). Right now im using 85% volume. And im hearing .flac files. I think that's all the details i can give. Thank you!
