JAVA and Firefox java plugin tablet

Asked by rad skrobek

I spend many days to figure out how to install Java to run many applications in Firefox. I installed OpenJDK Java with IcedTea plugin but when I am open Firefox the Java plugin is not there. The system on this tablet is Ubuntu 15.4 (OTA-10.1) The tablet is
BQ Aquaris M10 Ubuntu Edition.

I fallow with this link: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Java

All configuration are correct however does not enable the plugin in Firefox browser on this tablet ???

Any idea why it does not work ?

Do you mean 15.04 (codenamed Vivid)?

If you run:

lsb_release -a

It will tell you, if you are unsure.

Vivid is 15.04,not 15.4

Vivid is EOL and no longer supported in any way. I suggest you upgrade to continue support.

Yes sorry. Of course is 15.04
How can I update software on this tablet ? I bought it 3 weeks ago.
When I click "Check for updates" this shows me "Software is up to date" So all is current.

OS build number: OTA-10.1
Ubuntu build description: Ubuntu 15.04 - armhf (20160408-215827)

Can you help with this problem?
