OpenPGP keys

i cant upload my pgp key to the key server. the key is generated its just it wont upload. the error i get is it isnt a valid key. my question is where is the key id?

Open a terminal and run:

gpg --list-keys <email address hidden> | grep pub

(remember to insert the email address you used to create the key)

It will give you an output similar to this:

pub 1024D/6EFD59Z8 2008-03-21

The alphanumeric string after "1024D/" is your key's ID, "6EFD59Z8" in this example.

have the key server it just wont upload ill get it eventually
