Live CD not working

I have AMD 64 machine with AMD chipset motherboard. i am a new user and trying to learn UBUNTU linux. but before installing i want to use it. so i downloaded ubuntu live cd, burned the iso on the disc, and i booted from it. it boots but during the timing of loading it gets stuck after approx. 25%. I tried to use ubuntu 5.10 live cd also, it told me that the Live cd does not supprot my Xgraphic.
i tried to use other linux also (PCLinuxOS, Gentoo, Mandriva, dreamLinux, Fedoro etc)
i face the same problem.
DreamLinux detected that it had problem with my SCSI driver. so i need your assistance. i really want to learn linux

maybe order the cd through shipit burning the iso sometimes has problems

hello,
when the boot option appear hit F6.
one command line will appear and type at the end:
noapic nolapic acpi=off

if you have display/vga problem hit F4 and adjust the screen resolution.
