problems, delays, in Lubuntu

Asked by briant

It takes over 30 seconds just to get a splash screen to shut down. ALL video lags big time-can not watch ANY videos online. I had no problems with Lubuntu 14.04(which I love),...until you updated stuff...now EVERYTHING SUCKS! I use a INSPIRON mini (2x atom processors) and it can no longer handle anything very well WTF? This system was made for machines like this yet, after everything is 'up to date', it takes forever to process anything. ATOMS are pegged!

I have turned so many people on to your OS's and they all left Windows and Mac. Now...they all miss their old abilities within their OS and have been asking me how to remedy things! You know what? NOW my old Windows XP was way better than this bungle!

My fav was Ubuntu 10.10! Everything was excellent...then you killed it and do not support it any longer:( Lubuntu 14 is about the cleanest/lightest now, but lags too much for what it is supposed to be!
Installing Lubuntu 16 screws EVERYTHING!!! How can you help us? Thanks

Just so you know...I am the fiddler that used to host O'Reilley"s session in S.F. and Linux came to me one night. We had fun then...throw me a bone man!
