If somebody knows. I'm musician and user of Cubase and working under Windows XP(bliah). I want to try Ubuntu and I'm wondering if there are programs, similar Cubase, VST and other applications that Ubuntu can supports and the most important "How much RAM memory ammount can Ubuntu supports"

Well, yes and no.

In the world of Linux and Ubuntu, VST plugins are not supported natively, yet we have our own plugin standards: DSSI, LADSPA, LV2 and it's also possible to run VST plugins through emulation (which is suprisingly fast!).

There's quite a number of free audio/midi-sequencers available, namely Rosegarden and MuSE:

Also you might like a state-of-the-art software, called Wired:

An interesting application is EnergyXT (commercial, yet very cheap. Also available for Windows):

As for the RAM, Ubuntu (and Linux in general) can support up to 64GB of physical memory.
