802.1x authentication in 16.04 asking passwords repeatedly

Installed Ubuntu 16.04,but my wired 802.1x Authentication cannot work every time asking the password while giving the password retuned to the same window.Authentication attributes PEAP,MCHAP,How to recover the errors please help me

The 802.1X authentication works only by putting password in the config file:
password=[your password]
It seems like network manager is unable to send username/password.

Same happens to me on the wired network.
Wireless doesn't have this issue.

setting the password in /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/<profile> doesn't help either. Still popping up with a request.

I have the same problem as B@MB@M (bart-bamweb) .
Writting the password in /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/<profile> doesn't solve the problem for me.

This problem is still there now(2017-06-05), yes, as funny_falcon said, what a shame!
