deja dup errors 16.04

try to backup my Home Folder to an external hard drive with deja dup in ubuntu 16.04. after backing up 95% of data, it stops and comes up with error message saying your backup maybe corrupt, delete your backup and try later. I have deleted several times and try again with no luck
