Problems installing Ubuntu from a CD

Asked by wrlutey

I have a toshiba satellite pro 4270 and whenever i try and install Ubuntu from a CD, it comes up with lines of text and stops responding. This happens in any mode of installation.

I am not with the laptop atm, but will be able to update this with the text.

It is the newest install version.

Unplug non essential usb devices and try, also you could try the alternate desktop CD.

If the install process keeps failing that way you should also try to re-download Ubuntu's ISO and check md5sum when finished, then burn it again checking "check written data" option (I don't know which Operative ystemS/burning utility combination are you using, this option is available on both K3B and Brasero as far as I know).

Can you help with this problem?
