bluetooth adapter in 14.04

Asked by john

I didn't see my problem above so, I installed a B.T. adapter on a toshiba satellite c855d. it paired
fine with my Compilot (hearing aids), a samsung phone and kindle fire. It just won't let me change the sound from the internal speakers to the external hearing aids. I hope shutting down and restarting might fix it but no.

You may need to

pactl load-module module-bluetooth-discover

in terminal before connecting to the hearing aids then you may see the option in sound settings

It may have already been loaded. Are you using the native bluetooth manager or blueman?

I was using the native, but per your suggestion I installed blueman.  However the same problems persist.  Sound won't transfer to my earphones/hearing aids nor will files transfer to or from the other devices even though attempts are made and the phone and kindle light up when the attempt is made.

That's proving difficult.  I redirected the output to a file but I've been unable to setup thunderbird to accept this email account and have not been able to move the file to my kindle.
Is there something I can tell you about the output rather than trying to type if all in Sent from TypeMail
