Go back to showing icons in Open Office

Asked by Sidarth Dasari

Hi,
I think I may have accidentally changed some option that now makes all the icons in open office to show up as text. How would I go back to using icons?

Go to Tools->Options->->OpenOffice.org->View and toggle the field under the Menu subheading.

I have that checked already, but the icons still do not show up.

Same issue here, in Calc. After updating to 2.3, I do not recall changing any settings (but I may have), so I have been tempted to file a bug report. I tried Bashwork's recommendation also, to no avail. Anyone else been able to fix this issue.

It seems to be related to using a non-defualt icon set. I too have been tempted to file a bug report.

Confirmed, Ill start a bug report.
I switched back to the human theme and the icons show up again.

I'll second the confirmation. I switched back to the (boring) human theme and voila...
Bug.

Looks like they are only committing to a fix for Hardy. I have asked the question about the disposition for a Gutsy fix in the bug thread. Hopefully it will be committed. Gutsy's on a lot of hardware... Gonna cross my fingers here.

Doubt anyone will read this, but why is this "solved"?
Cheney made it clear it's not a security issue, so unless someone takes it upon themselves to fix it in 7.10, we're out of luck. There will be a fix in Hardy...
This is not solved, it's just being swept under the mat, so to speak.
Can we get a "Swept under the mat" option for questions/bugs to use instead of "Solved" please?
