OS missing

Asked by Dark Exodus

I downloaded ubuntu from the site, burnt iso, put in other computer and installed. The install failed at 59% and said that the disk might be scratched or the hard drive might be bad. I restarted comp later and now it says that the operating system is missing. HELP!!

ubuntu overwrites the operating system installed unless you tell it not to when installing, since you only got part way though installing (because of faulty disk/cd-rom/dvd-rom/harddrive) it didn't get to install the opperating system, you will need to get a non faulty disk and try installing again

Can you help with this problem?
