Is it possible to make full install of Debian 8 on USB stick?

Hi there, I am new with Linux and trying to learn as much as I can. Recently thanks (so much!) to "actionparsnip") I installed (full install) of Ubuntu 14.04.4 on USB stick. It works like a charm. I want to thank him again for good advice
I would greatly appreciate if somebody can tell me is it possible to make full install of other Linux distributions on USB, particularly Debian 8. I am talking about full install, not USB live. Thank you so much in advance.

It's the same method. Just use the "something else" option and setup the Debian partitions on the USB. Be sure that you put GRUB on the USB too instead of the internal drive.

Hi there. Question for Mr. actionparship. installed Debian 8 on USB stick as advised. When installation was completed I clicked on “Power off”. The screen went black, but the PC did not turned off, I could see USB light on, as well as the power button on. I forced turned off. When tried to boot from USB, just getting empty screen with command line flashing. Nothing happened. I cannot boot now installed Debian on USB. Any thoughts what I am doing wrong. Much appreciate any help

I suggest you post on the Debian forum. Your issue is with Debian, not Ubuntu
