Stack smashing in 16.04

I installed gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg-5ubuntu1~vivid in Lubuntu 16.04. When I try to play an m4a file using gst-launch, I get

gst-launch playbin2 uri=file:///home/wax/sound/<directory>/<filename>.m4a
Setting pipeline to PAUSED ...
Pipeline is PREROLLING ...
*** stack smashing detected ***: /usr/bin/gst-launch-0.10 terminated
Aborted (core dumped)

Is there a way to get m4a support working on xenial?
