Huawei Y560 L02 usb connection to Ubuntu desk top

New Huawei Y560 L02 smart phone. Desk top and phone can see each other trough USB, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth But does not allow any data transfers including photos something is missing in system. But what it is I don't know can someone help please

When you last unplugged it from a system (probably Windows) did you use the safe removal feature in the OS before you physically unplugged it?

I use Ubuntu 12-04 LTS I always use safe removal connections are OK I just cant see phone file system or transfer any files I suspect there is some kind driver missing

It's just a run of the mill Android phone. Nothing special. Have you tried changing your USB mode to Camera?

Have you tried a different USB port (preferably not USB 3)

This is what I end up doing and works well using Wi-Fi. Android device downloaded AirDroid It's in Google play used my Google email address, password and nick name. Followed instructions on phone and did same on Ubuntu desk top.
