virbr0 -- just discovered and wondering if it is causing Skype problems
While trying to have a Skype video call tonight, our call kept getting cut off or otherwise not connecting. While trying to figure out if there was a problem with my WiFi and internet connections, I suddenly discovered that "virbr0" showed up. I have never seen this before.
I followed some instructions at http://
Numerous questions related to this:
1. What is virbr0?
2. How did it end up on my machine? (Dell Inspiron Desktop -- running Ubuntu 15.10)
3. Would it affect my laptop computer's ability to connect to WiFi via the router?
4. How can I shut it off?
5. Can I delete it, and if so, how?

Seems to be a network device. Possibly a VPN connection...
If you blacklist the tun module it will not be able to come up.

Mission accomplished! Just found instructions for doing that, went through the process, and rebooted. virbr0 is not showing up and everything else is working.
Thanks!
