No sound from Firefox after running rosegarden

Asked by Sam Hollis

I have recently instsalled Rosegarden onto my desktop. After a little reading around I got the sound to work and I have no problems with it. However If I use Rosegarden, shut it down and then use Firefox then youtube and other websites have no sound. Firefox sounds work perfectly if I reset the computer, but it would be good to be able to use Firefox after using Rosegarden without having to reset every time.

Hi

Thanks for the help.

Same problem with Chrome as with Firefox.
When I use Rosegarden I also use Qsynth as a soft synth. I just loaded
Qsynth now without Rosegarden and I get the same sound problem so I suspect
it is Qsynth causing the problem not Rosegarden.

output is:
sam@Sams-laptop:~$ lsb_release -a; uname -a; apt-cache policy firefox
rosegardenNo LSB modules are available.
