libjs-jquery is very old

There is a very old bug report asking for jquery to be updated (1180222) which was set to wishlist 3 years ago. Is there any reason not to update it? I might be able to help with the packaging if manpower is the issue.

Current version in development for xenial is 1.11.3+dfsg-4
As far as I know, also Debian has not made the change to 2.x yet.

At least 1.11.3 is only 10 months old :) and would be fine for my needs

According to https://packages.debian.org/sid/libjs-jquery sid uses 1.11.3+dfsg-4. http://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/libjs-jquery shows 1.7.2+dfsg-3ubuntu2.

Where do you see that xenial is 1.11.3+dfsg-4?
