How to disable touch pad on my Laptop

I have old SonyVaio laptop with Lubuntu ubuntu-15.10 installed.
Please help me how to disable my touch pad which gives me a lot of trouble while typing. I am new to Linux, love it and eager to learn. Thank you so much in advance.
