problem with workspace shifter after upgrade to 8.04

my system is running under Ubuntu 8.04
after an upgrade from 7.10!

The following is occuring after the update:

I created 2 accounts on the system - the first was mine, the second for my wife.

under my wifes account i can switch the workspaces by clicking on the workspace panel.

under my account this does not work.

under my wifes account i can switch the workspaces with ctrl+alt+left/right arrow.

under my account this does not work.

under both account super+e works to switch the workspaces.

Did not do any changes on compiz fusion.

any ideas?

german answeres are also welcome.

After deselcting all oiptions in compiz fusion
rebooting the system ( yes - i am used to windows)
and reselcting the used options in compiz the problem
is gone.

dont ask wich option is responsible for that...

... problem solved
