I'm getting a bit frustrated. Maybe I'm stupid, but I can't seem to get past
the ' sudo' command....it asks for my password, but the keyboard doesn't
work. Any help would be appreciated. Dave...( not throwing stuff yet :) )

when you use sude and it asks for your password just type the password. it doesn't provide feedback on the password being typed. eg: it doesn't show * for each letter. it's the normal behavior.
