Sudo command is not working on 15.04

1) When i enter the "su" command on terminal, there is asking password after type the password getting the error " su: Authentication failure".

2) when i enter sudo cammand getting the error as follows.

" sudo error in /etc/sudo.conf line 0 while loading plugin sudoers policy' "
"/usr/lib/sudo/sudoers.so must be only be writable by owner"
"sudo fatal error unable to load plugins "

Need your help to resolve the above issue.

What is the output of the commands

uname -a
lsb_release -crid
ls -l /etc/sudo* /usr/lib/sudo/sudo*

Vivid is EOL and no longer supported by the Ubuntu community. I suggest you reinstall with Wily. This will allow you to upgrade directly to Xenial in April this year

@actionparsnip (andrew-woodhead666); We have installed Ubuntu 15.10 Wily successfully but after installed applications , it's getting hangged at startup.

The machine configuration as follows.
Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G3240 @ 3.10 GHz
RAM: 8 GB
HDD: 1TB

Need help on the above issue
