Conexant winfast TV2000 XP Driver

hey, I have installed a Conexant winfast TV2000 XP, tv card. The issue is i cannot find a driver for it anyewhere. Trying to use tvtime to view it but no luck. can anyone help at all???

If its supported under Ubuntu it should have installed the drivers automatically at boot time, go to a terminal window and type (without the quotes):

"sudo modprobe cx8800"
"sudo modprobe cx88xx"
"sudo modprobe bt878"

"sudo tvtime"

this executes tvtime as root user, if it works as root try as a normal user:

"tvtime"

if this doesn't work type: lspci -v and cut and paste the output regarding to the device as it maybe a newer version still and use yet another chipset.

I have trouble using my tv capture card Winfast TV2000 XP on ubuntu. I haven't seen any drivers for it, nor does it seem to be recognised as a tv capture card.Instead tvtime sees my nvidia graphics card as the source and I can't seem to change the input. Could anybody help me with some advice ? I'd like to know if there's a chance to be able to use the tv card after all. Thanks in advance !
