Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2

Hi

I need to install Linux on my computer but a work application needs Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 to work. Will this work on Linux? The computer is a older HP Compaq DC 7100 and I want to install Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS 32 Bit.

Normally the PC runs on XP but since updates for XP stopped i need another operating system besides windows.

Or is there something that you can recommend besides Microsoft?

If you install mono it's the opensource equivalent in Linux.

What is the exact name of this work application?

And how much RAM/internal memory is there in your PC?

Forgot the question about the Ram.

The RAM is 1 Gig.

If the application can work I want to install Linus on more work PC's.

The NRB software you are referring to, is not listed in the following database:

So I cannot guarantee that this NRB software application will run correctly using "wine".

You will need to test it yourself and report the results at https://appdb.winehq.org/

If you want to install GNU/Linux, I suggest installing Lubuntu 14.04 LTS, because your PC has 1 GB of RAM.
