Troubles getting Hulu programing to play on Ubuntu 14.04

Asked by David Hartung

Hulu refers me to the Adobe page, which has instructions for installing HAL. When I follow them, I get this response in terminal:

david@david-laptop:~$ sudo apt-get install hal
[sudo] password for david:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package hal is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:
  hal-info

E: Package 'hal' has no installation candidate
david@david-laptop:~$

Apparently Adobe is no longer doing updates for Linux, where can find this package?

I went to the above site and followed their instructions, still unable to play Hulu content. I responded to them, described what I had done and asked what I had missed. this was on the 2d. Still no response, probably due to the holiday and the weekend.
