I cannot get through the installation

i can get up to step 4 but wen i select that i want my centrios 8 gb to be the ubuntu defualt hard drive i click farward, it loads up but it the window goes bak to the window i started up with and i try again but it does not work, so then i go to manual and i click on my 8253 mb flsh drive and click edit another window shows up and asks me for the mount point and use as: , i press ok but the forward buttin is disabled ( not lit, i cant press it)

Are you trying to install Ubuntu in dual mode Ubuntu+Win...?
Please tell us more about your hard disks and partitions...
Or are you trying to install Ubuntu onto an external flash drive...?

are you doing a duel boot?

you need to first save all extra data to cd )mp3 etc(

run your disk defragmentation in system tools

note the sectors that are clear after about three wipes

and then use those slots for ubuntu

if your doing a whole disk then the use whole scsi11 or whatever it says should work fine

also you if you want to do a giude install you can adjust the disk space by using the slide rule or bar / tab in that option

dont get frustrated ubuntus great it just takes more brains than the installation wizard

if you get stuck just let someone know

I am using a external hard drive, a flash drive that has 8 GB's . its installing right now but it wont go more than 15% HElP

 did you dowload via bit torrent or ftp?

these are suggested to keep data uncorrupted

try to reload your flash and see if it goes any smoother

if you get stuck dont give up just let someone know
