Can Ubuntu be installed on a SGI computer

An SGI Indigo 2 is a MIPS based machine and Ubuntu is only x86, x86_64, SPARC and PPC based. The closed to Ubuntu is Debian which should have a release for the MIPS processor. Other options can be OpenBSD and NetBSD.
