Read everything still wireless problem

Asked by memetali

I am using a Live CD of the latest Ubuntu version. I want to migrate totally to Ubuntu. In my first usage I have tried everything in the help menu. I can ony try things offline when I am ın Ubuntu because I don't have any chance of a connectıon too the web. After I tried help options. I came back to windows and read all the similar problems.

First I have tried to install /media/Data/bcm43xx-firmware_1.3-1ubuntu2_all.deb and realized that it was already installed then I typed at the terminal sudo modrope iwl4965 and I got

sudo: modrope: command not found

Then I have downloaded the driver /media/Data/iwlwifi-4965-ucode-4.44.1.20/iwlwifi-4965-1.ucode from intel`s website it didin't work.

Here are the information I get from the teminal.I typed:

ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ sudo lshw -C network

The output:

 *-network

Then I typed.

ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ iwconfig

The output:

In the DEVICE MANAGER, I see this information

Vendor: Intel Corporation
Device: PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN Network Connection
Status: Status
Bus Type: PCI
Device Type: Unknown
Capabilities: Unknown

I checked the Network Tools, chose Wireless Interface nothing is seen there.

I also tried the configure my wireless network manually by entering the name, WEP, Static IP. But it didn't work.

Is it all because I use a Live CD? Can these be solved when I install Ubuntu? Is there any other solution.

I also have similar problems with the ethernet connection.

Looking forward to hear from someone.

Thank you from now,
