Ubuntu

my screen often goes away then comes with ? restore. just started this a few days ago

I will have 2 or 3 tabs up and in the middle of anything that I'm doing, the screen disappears. I go back to "open a window" and it opens with asking me if I want to restore or not the informations I had up. I click restore and they all come back for a few minutes, then most of the time goes down again! It's pretty frustrating. Please help me fix this!

PS; writing this note is the longest I've been able to keep the screens open.

I use Mozilla and Firefox. I think the browser would be Firefox.

If you create a new Firefox profile, is it ok there?
If you use Google Chrome, is it ok there?

Have never tried Google chrome; thought it could only be used with Windows, not Ubuntu. Have not create a new firefox profile.

Chrome runs in many OSes. You can download the deb and install it

Run:

uname -m

If you see "i686" then you want the 32bit deb, "x86_64" is 64bit.
