i need to upgrade ubuntu 13.04 to 14.04?? is it possible ? if possible means i need steps to do?? anyone help me on this pb?

my vm is ubuntu 13.04 its telling eol and also am facing so many issues, so i need to upgrade 13.04 to 14.04 so what are the steps to do upgrade 13.04 to 14.04?? anyone please help with this ??

You have two options:

1. upgrade from 13.04 to 13.10, and then upgrade from 13.10 to 14.04

2. do a new installation with Ubuntu 14.04

Ubuntu 13.10 is also end-of-life and not supported anymore. So the migration route from Ubuntu 13.04 to 13.10 to 14.04 will probably give too many issues.

I highly recommend performing a backup of all your data and then installing Ubuntu 14.04 LTS from scratch.

In April 2016 you can then perform a direct upgrade from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS to Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
