Ubuntu 15.10 installation problems

I tried installing ubuntu 15.10 off a thumb drive. I got to the installation screen went through all the options and started the installation. about 3/4 of the way through the installation it froze my computer. After an hour and a half I did a hard shutdown and tried again and it froze in the same place. I ran a diagnostic scan on the thumb drive and it said that there were 2 errors on it. I am new to the linux ubuntu system so a detailed solution to this problem would be much appreciated.

Did you MD5 test the ISO you downloaded?
