can you give me direction on how to install my usb wireless so i can use it on ubuntu
it works on my windows side

new to ubuntu so good direction i need

CREATE NEW WIRELESS NETWORK
WIRELESS SECURITY
WEP 64/128-BIT HEX
I PUT MY KEY IN
OPEN SYSTEM

NOTHING
DO I HAVE TO PUT MY CD IN AND DOWN LOAD THE PROGRAM

sorry for the confusion

system>administration>synaptic

under all look for wifi radar and click to install then apply

you can also type in your terminal which is located under application>acessories>terminal

sudo apt-get install wifi-radar

also in the terminal enter this line to get a signal from your wired etho to give you a base setting in your scan

this may or may not help but youll have it for reference later if need be

/sbin/ifconfig eth0 | grep 'inet addr:' | cut -d: -f2 | awk '{ print $1}'

i went to terminal and after i put in sudo apt-get install wife-radar
it said
couldn't find package wife-radar

or you may find it under the all options listing

you shouldnt need to restart take it slow
