After Internet update, gnome-power-manager don't recgnized the batterie
Hello,
after the Internet update this morning, I did a reboot, because I've saw that a lot libraries from gtk are replaced. To be sure that under X nothing goes wrong, but after the reboot my gnome-power-manager has completely changed. First the icon isn't a battery but a plug and the worse is that gpm doesn't recognize the battery and therefore are in the dialogue only two tabs
( Running on AC and General) are shown and in the first tab only two slide bars
for Sleep. In the tab General only General and Notification Area with only three
choices (Never display icon, Only Display when battery present, Always display icon). As gpm doesn't recognize the battery, gpm doesn't appear in the top
bar.
On the console is all fine. What happens?
I have a Toshiba Satellite L30-140 with ubuntu 6.10. And all works fine until this
update.
With our second Toshiba (Tecra 8100 with ubuntu 6.10) there are no problems.
Any suggestions?
I forgot to tell what I've done.
- checked whether acpi is running or not (is running, but in /var/run isn't a
socket named acpi_socket)
- laptop_mode on / off, no result
- with gconf-editor checked whether all parameter there or not, they are.
Thankx in advance,
