Want to learn Linux

I'm new to Linux world. Recently i installed ubuntu linux. Can anybody suggest best site to learn linux and its environment?

I'm completely new to the linux. So first of all I want to learn Linux as a USER so that i can be used to its environment. I guess you understand my problem.

One advice that I followed some years ago, and shown me the real power of GNU/linux in day to day work basis, was: Learn GNU/Linux shell tools. HTH.

I recommend to you to use emacs, which is a powerful tool to develop in many languages, like C, html, php... You can also use gedit which has a few features for that, but it is less practical than emacs if you program in C(++). If you want something more graphical for web designing in html, you should prefer bluefish or amaya. But it depends on what language you use to program.
