myqsl - server - 5.6 password unable to se password. Autoreports message is sent to launchpad or unknown reports receiving collection point. My monitor greys out -- crashes. I lose my work. Subsequent to login, I saw this note: ""Check the account's password after package installation"

On 12-11-15 I saw this note:
Read /usr/share/doc/mysql-server-5.6/README.Debian file for more information. Whatever that means is beyond comprehension so I pulled out a new laptop equipped with Win 8.1 in hopes of turning out direly needed finish out. But I find crap forced on me by new laptop having all kind of login passwords. Then, I crash as all this knocks me down many notches

today 12-12-15 @ 4:30 am, immediately after login I saw an interim note that I could not copy "none of the selected modes were compatible with the possible modes:
Trying modes for CRTC 63
CRTC 63: trying mode 1440x900@60Hz with output at 1280x1024@75Hz (pass 0)
CRTC 63: trying mode 1440x900@60Hz with output at 1280x1024@75Hz (pass 1)
Trying modes for CRTC 64
CRTC 64: trying mode 1440x900@60Hz with output at 1280x1024@75Hz (pass 0)
CRTC 64: trying mode 1440x900@60Hz with output at 1280x1024@75Hz (pass 1)
Trying modes for CRTC 65
CRTC 65: trying mode 1440x900@60Hz with output at 1280x1024@75Hz (pass 0)
CRTC 65: trying mode 1440x900@60Hz with output at 1280x1024@75Hz (pass 1)

below that note it stated a ? do you wish to "close?" as It closed the monitor went dark about 18 seconds. Then monitor opens with standard left column of selectable Libre Office, Google etc.

We have some problem understanding what the real issue is with your system. What is the problem that you want to disuss here? IS it the MySQL problem, or the issue with screen resolution? each question document should focus on one single issue.

12-16-15 5:25AM Shortly I board flight to Oakland What must I tell you. Noted today 12-16-15 something occurs while the password proves up in the cyrpt SDA5 login. Could not copy that error message.

Manfred, we can't figure out what causes these crashes. But they have wiped out highly significant [a few thousand dollars worth of] research scientist's copy.

No, we do not agree that this is just a little flipping thing. it it a real Ubuntu 15.10 Wily reoccurring problem.

Instead of giving a clear answer, which of your issues you want to discuss in this question document (MySQL install problem or screen flickering), you add another problem (password and crypt).
This is not the planned ways of working with Launchpad answers.

Let me try adding something constructive:
Do you need MySQL functionality on this computer? If not, then you could try uninstalling the mysql-server-5.6 package. This may help getting the package management system back into a healthy state.

Or maybe the best solution for your system would be a clean new installation. As far as I can see from https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/273676 you have forced an upgrade directly from 10.04 to 15.10. Please do not show surprise that the system does not behave as desired after doing unsupported actions with it.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask ken78724 for more information if necessary.
