Ubuntu 14.04 Keyboard dock doesn't work

Asked by Nathan Taal

Hello everyone,

My question wasn't answered on ask Ubuntu so I will try it here. I have an lenovo based 2 in 1 laptop. The dock contains an Keyboard and hard disk.

The problem is that that keyboard doesn't work. It didn't work on The live-usb but I was planning on solving that after installation.
The silly thing is that the keyboard does work in GRUB. Can anyone help?

I also read about other people with this problem. And tried suggested solution. (Install driver, reinstall drivers, disable ibus, etc)
Then I read people having the problem after updates or upgrades. In that case I want to know if Ubuntu is aware and if their trying to get it fixed. Because I really need a keyboard ;)

Thanks you all,

Nathan

Does it work ok if you boot with it in the dock, or does it just flat out never work?

Thanks

I might need to clarify it a little bit. I got a system like this:

http://www.mediamarkt.nl/mcs/shop/peaq-2in1.html

(Only look at photo's)
The 'dock' is the keyboard. When not atteched it's a tablet and then it is ok. (Touchscreen also works fine)

It does not have buttons to disable keyboard.

The keyboard has also had an build-in mousepad, which works fine.

OK, launch gok or onboard and a terminal. Push the device into the dock and wait a few seconds and run:

dmesg | tail -n 30

Copy the output and paste as an update on

Thanks

Seems to be a Bluetooth keyboard. Have you tried pairing it?

The bluetooth keyboard is something I had laying around, I use him as temporarily work-around.
