Last uPDATE crashed the laptop

The last update to 15.04 crashed and burned Had to go back 1 entire update to get back into the laptop kernel 30 something as the 31 was or had something wrong could not get past sign in before locking up . . I have a I3 with 8 gig of DDR3 and 320 gig HD

If the kernel you have is working ok then I suggest you set that as the default and apt-pin the kernel so you dont get any more kernel updates
