left-click suddenly stopped working; toshiba laptop

Asked by Yabru Darr

Hey people.

Someone please help me out because I'm going to have to do a fresh reinstall because of this stupid issue. I've tried all sorts.

My left-click suddenly stopped working. Right click and movement of pointer still work.

Let me know what info you guys need, I'm really not too good with Ubuntu or Linux but can follow instructions ;-)

p.s. I re-opened my previous question about this after it solved itself but then re-occurred. Nobody answered that so I just started this new one. link:

I'm sorry, I don't have an external mouse.

Just want this touchpad problem fixed.

Just curious if it was just the touch pad or all left clicking.

If you log in as a different user (make a new one if needed) is it OK there?

I made a new user with admin privileges but left-click doesn't work there either.
