Problema bootea sin bios

Quiero cambiarle el sistema operativo a mi pc actualmente esta corriendo ubuntu 10.04 y cuando bootea entra directamente a ubuntu y no me deja pasar por la bios, ademas olvide la contraseña, alguien me puede ayudar?

You can try doing an online upgrade from 10.04 to 12.04 with the command

sudo do-release-upgrade
