my screen keeps scrolling vertically up-down without any user action

My screen (firefox, krusader, gedit, document viewer, libreoffice, etc) keeps scrolling vertically up-down without any user action

Desktop motherboard EG45M-DS2H
Intel® Core™2 Duo
Graphics Intel® G45/G43 x86/MMX/SSE2
2GB RAM
32bit Ubuntu 15.04

This is annoying. Happens after arbitrary minutes of usage. Makes it difficult to work. Reboot or empty trash or deleting cache/history does not help.

I had the problem in Ubuntu 14.04. Problem continued even after I moved to 15.04.

Request solution or Ubuntu/ CMOS tweak.

Press your cursor keys and check the scroll on your mouse / touch pad isn't pressed. Basically exercise all inputs to make sure they are not pressed
