Clean Install Dell Inspiron Mini 10

Asked by Mortar

Linux newbie, so bear with me.

I want to do a clean install of 12.04.5 LTS on my Inspiron Mini 10. There is NO optical drive so it has to be done via USB. The only versions I've seen are for discs.

So, how do I create a bootable USB drive?

Thanks.

Hello,

what Operating System you have now in Netbook ? If it's Windows download the Rufus tool and create the USB with this tool.

Download Rufus: https://rufus.akeo.ie/

Don't get confused from the description/the names/ of the ISO files. "Desktop CD" doesn't mean it will work only in a CD, as AMD doesn't mean it needs only AMD processors.

Download this ISO file "32-bit PC (i386) desktop CD" and burn it with Rufus in a USB. Proceed with installation.

Regards.

P.S. Don't forget to mark the answer as [SOLVED], when done.

You can use the ISO to make a bootable USB or even SD card?

Can you help with this problem?
