Error occurred updating skype

The following is the Update Manager detail shown during the unsuccessful Skype update in Ubuntu 7.10 :

Preparing to replace skype 2.0.0.43-Omedibuntu2 (using .../skype_2.0.0.63-1_i386.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement skype ...
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/skype_2.0.0.63-1_i386.deb (--unpack):
 trying to overwrite `/usr/share/icons/skype.png', which is also in package skype-common
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)
Errors were encountered while processing: /var/cache/apt/archives/skype_2.0.0.63-1_i386.deb

What helped me was uninstalling the "Skype" and "Skype Common" packages and after that installing only the new "Skype" package. Everything is working correctly now. Hope it works for you.
