Laptop hangs with distorted graphics

Asked by linuxladki

I use a Lenovo Z370 - used Windows 7 prior to installing 14.04 - switched because when OS was windows, used to get blue screen error leading to constant crashes - after switching to ubuntu, was ok for a few weeks but then the crashes started again - the mouse pointer would move at times but usually it would all just freeze, also some crashes would be preceded by graphic distortions - below is the dump related to graphics card - please help!
