firefox keeps going to start page, also creating new tabs without being ask

Hi all,

I hope i can get a picture of what is the problem with my computer. I have part Lubuntu and part Window XP in the system. I use mostly Lubuntu. For the last week I have been having problem with firefox. For example in the middle of browsing suddenly my page disappear and go to firefox start page. Yesterday was bad, firefox kept making a new tab over and over. I checked the hard disk it is fine. Anyone knows what could be the problem?

lsb_release -a; uname -a; apt-cache policy firefox
