Displaying Xapplications on my 7.10 unbuntu desktop

I should like to be able to shell into a foreign UNIX system and run an X applications like xterm or xclock and have the output display back on my desktop.

I was able to do this before in 6.10 by updating the gdm.

Any thoughts?

you can do a ssh -X in the foreign UNIX system.
