kde lock screen timeout

Asked by aveem ashfaq

I am using stock Kubuntu 15.04. I am new to KDE and have migrated from gnome and unity. Whenever i lock my screen in KDE, it takes about 10 minutes for the screen to blank out and go into powersaving mode. in gnome and other gnome based distros, when i lock the screen, it stays on for 3 seconds and fades out to put my monitor into standby whereas in kde, the lockscreen shows up for a very long time. Why is that? No one has any job staring at the lock screen. I wish the screen timeout was 3 seconds or some reasonable time during the lockscreen
