can i dual boot ubuntu on windows 8.1 genuine

i want to dual boot my laptop. it already have windows 8.1 GENUINE. and i want to instal ubuntu 15.04 along with it. can i do that?will it affect my windows?

I have a laptop that had Windows 8.1 installed from the factory. Installing Ubuntu 14.04 was straightforward and coexists with Windows without any conflicts. You will see a new screen at startup that allows you to choose which OS to boot.

Unfortunately, I do not have knowledge about Ubuntu 15.04.

Friendly reminder: As always, make sure to have a full system image backup before embarking on this kind of change.
